Dixieland ('Trad') Jazz and Vintage Jazz Dixieland is still popular as a 'goodtime' music, unsurprising as its genesis was the legendary good-time city, New Orleans. Generally, the musicians play without the need for amplification so it lends itself to outdoor venues where it invariably creates a festival atmosphere - and puts a smile on every face!
